Consequentializing agent‐centered restrictions: A Kantsequentialist approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
There is, on a given moral view, an agent-centered restriction against performing acts of certain type if that view prohibits agents from instance act-type even to prevent two or more others each morally comparable act-type. The fact commonsense morality includes restrictions is often seen as decisive objection act-consequentialism. Despite this, I’ll argue are plausibly accommodated within act-consequentialist framework than the standard side-constraint framework. For when we combine agent-relative act-consequentialism with Kantian theory value, arrive at version consequentialism—namely, Kantsequentialism—that has several advantages over approach. What's more, show this consequentialism avoids disadvantages critics consequentializing have presumed such must have.

Consequentializing and Its Consequences
Recently, a number of philosophers have argued that we can and should “consequentialize” non-consequentialist moral theories, putting them into a consequentialist framework. I argue that these philosophers, often treated as a group, in fact offer three separate arguments, two of which are incompatible. I show that none represent significant threats to a committed non-consequentialist, and that ...

A Generic Approach for Correcting Access Restrictions to a Consequence
Recent research has shown that annotations are useful for representing access restrictions to the axioms of an ontology and their implicit consequences. Previous work focused on assigning a label, representing its access level, to each consequence from a given ontology. However, a security administrator might not be satisfied with the access level obtained through these methods. In this case, o...
متن کاملA Bayesian Approach to Restrictions on the Cointegration Space
The degree of empirical support of a priori plausible structures on the cointegration vectors has a central role in the analysis of cointegration. Historically, this question has been answered by classical testing of over-identifying restrictions on the cointegration space. This paper introduces an exact finite sample Bayesian procedure to calculate the posterior probability of restrictions on ...
